Primary and Secondary Research
For the primary research we created a questionnaire using Survey Monkey.

Secondary Research
For secondary research to get an idea of girlguiding and it's history we went on youtube and watched a variety of new and old videos to get inspiration.
The first video 'Welcome to Girlguiding' was a corporate video which includes lots of the core values of Guiding today. We like how the interviews are shot with views of the interviewer and the person answering questions.
The second video is more fun and relaxed. It has more similarities to the shots already filmed at an outdoors Guiding event. They also use speech bubbles to explain values rather than talk about them. We also liked the informal interviews where we see girls answering questions about why they love going to Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.
Something we want to include is the history about Girlguiding. The following videos are also from YouTube which express what guiding was like around the 1950's. It will potentially be at the beginning of the video and then lead on to guiding in the present day. We want to use short clips from the following 3 videos to show our audience what Girlguiding used to be like so they can see the transition

Also for primary research we had a focus group with Girlguiding leaders at the Suffolk County Day. We asked what things would be important to have in a documentary to inform others about Girlguiding.
To which the majority said about the history and what it has become today. This then led us to add in the section about the history then a transition to the present day.
Also they said statistics because it means that viewers can get to learn about how many girls are involved worldwide aswell as other information they maybe would not see otherwise.
